#8 Roman Dolidze vs #11 Nassourdine Imavov headline Fight night 02/03
Headlining UFC Fight Night on February 3rd, 2024 is former ADCC Asia & Oceania grappling winner Roman Dolidze clashing against Dagestan-born striker Nassourdine Imavov. Not only that though as the card also contains #13 ranked Renato Moicano taking on #15 ranked Drew Dober as a VERY exciting co-main event with many more fights on a strong free card as we get our first UFC card since UFC 297. This card should be an entertaining one!
To get us started we got 2 fights on the main card containing 4 fighters trying to get finishes and continue each respectable winning streak. Gilbert Urbina vs Charles Radtke and Aliaskhab Khizriev vs Makhmud Muradov are the 2 fights opening the card and all 4 fighters will be looking for a finish. I am leaning towards Gilbert Urbina and Aliaskhab Khizriev as my picks and I believe it will be the offensive pressure of both fighters that get them the win.
#7 Viviane Araujo vs #9 Natalia Silva This fight should be a banger, both of these chicks have high output and look for the finish. Araujo coming off a win against Jennifer Maia is looking to fend off rising contender Natalia SIlva who has been tearing through the division. Both of these women average over 4 significant strikes a minute but while Silva only absorbs 2 significant strikes a minute Araujo allows over 5 significant strikes to land. I believe the defense of Silva will shine and her aggressiveness both standing and on the ground will find her a finish in this fight. #9 Natalia Silva TKO 2nd round
Randy Brown vs Muslim Salikhov This fight shows all signs of being a great fight and a fight where the winner can go on and potentially fight a ranked opponent in their next respective fight. 5-1 in his last 6 Randy Brown is looking to continue a great streak of fights when he takes on Veteran and established finisher Muslim Salikhov. Both of these fighters are exceptional strikers with Brown looking to use his long Frame and 8-inch reach advantage and Salikhov looking to get in close and throw heavy shots overloading the defense of Brown. I see Randy’s Height and reach being just too much for his opponent and being able to pepper the “King of Kung Fu” Muslim Salikhov. Randy Brown by Decision
#13 Renato Moicano vs #15 Drew Dober You CAN NOT ask for a better co-main event on a free card when you see two of the most exciting lightweight rising stars clashing. The second to last fight on this card might be the most hype one as you get Renato “Money” Moicano battling Drew Dober as two of the most electrifying finishers step into the octagon. Coming in at 3=1 in his last 4 Moicano comes into this fight hoping his tough chin and strong Jiu-Jitsu will help him finish the gritty and fast hands of Drew Dober as each fighter is hoping this fight shoots them into contention in the very strong 155 division. In this fight whichever fighter’s toughness will win them this fight and looking at past fights, it’s hard for me not to believe Renato Moicano will catch Drew Dober coming in and submit him late. #13 Renato Moicano Submission 3rd round
#8 Roman Dolidze vs #11 Nassourdine Imavov This is the main event folks and are we in for a sweet one as Georgian Roman Dolidze finds himself in the octagon with Russian-born Nassourdine Imavov in a 5-rounder. Both of these men are hoping to get back on the title contention track again with Dolidze coming off a close loss against Marvin Vettori and Imavov having his fight with Chris Curtis being stopped by the doctor due to a headbutt. The aggressive grappling of Dolidze is shown, with multiple grappling accolades most notably his ADCC grappling win in 2016 is what he is hoping is his ticket to beating the all-around solid Imavov who hopes his speed is the reason behind his =166 betting odds in this fight. This is a very close fight but honestly, I think Dolidze’s grappling will be just too good for Imavov and he will win a close decision by controlling the ground and limiting the Russian’s striking abilities. #8 Roman Dolidze Decision.
